Company History Invomo Ltd

Invomo is created following the acquisition of PNC Telecom and Band-X. As a result
of the acquisitions and history of its constituent parts, Invomo is able to point
to a strong heritage of innovation in both traditional TDM and IP telephony services.
Invomo, including PNC and Band-X, is now located in two sites in the UK; City Road
offices in London and Corsley in Wiltshire.
PNC Telecom and Band-X
1995 – formation of PNC Telecom Services Ltd
PNC Telecom Services Limited started life as The Personal Number Company in 1995
operating as a switch-less reseller. Originally formed with support from Vodafone,
the business initially offered only Vodafone products.
1996 – PNC achieved an AIM listing and later a full listing on the LSE.
1997 - Band-X was founded to pioneer mediation business support that altered traditional
telecommunications industry business practices. It was the first company to develop
a web based trading system for telecommunications capacity.
2000 – PNC became an Oftel-licensed Network Operator.
1999 and 2001 – Band-X raised in excess of £100m over two rounds of funding from
VC backed relationships with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Madison Dearborn
funding acquisitions in 7 countries throughout Europe, The Americas and South-East
Asia.
2001 - Band-X opens the UK's only independent marketplace for Internet protocol
(IP) transit.
2003 - PNC was sold by PNC plc to Vanguard Group Holdings Limited as part of a series
of disposals.
2004 - Band-X developed its focus, majoring on the successes of their managed services
business supplying carriers whose margins for international and domestic traffic
were continually being pressured by price erosion of the switched minute, developing
TDM and IP based services.
2005 - PNC was acquired by Curby Holdings in November 2005 and acquires Telecom1,
a business with an attractive asset base and network infrastructure. This forms
the core of the Invomo network activities based in the City Road location.
2006 - PNC focuses upon hosting applications rather than PRS and signs an agreement
with Hewlett Packard to become their preferred UK and Ireland Hosting partner for
their range of speech based solutions with an opportunity to deliver across Europe.
2006 – Band-X focuses upon its Managed Service business exiting the carrier voice
market place.
2006-2007 - New business wins between March 2006 and June 2007 included MGt, AdTrader,
Autotrader, Fish 4, Virgin Mobile, Vodafone/HP, RNIB, and in May 2007 a hosting
agreement was reached with Genesys, the largest IVR company in the world, and part
of Alcatel-Lucent.
